These are an adaptation of the ‘Liitle green goblins’ that I made last year.
Basically…I added sweet potato, nothing crazy, nothing outrageous. I just had some sweet potatos and thought ‘This might work’
So the recipe:
4 garlic cloves
1 sweet potato peeled and cubed.
1 can or 400grams of cooked chickpeas, drained
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon chili powder
2 teaspoons cumin seeds or ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 a lemon
½ cup all-purpose flour for dusting (use gluten free or alternative for gluten free)
Coconut oil, or olive oil for shallow frying
Method: whack the whole lot in a food processor and whiz until the blend becomes like crumbs. Leave the mixture to rest for an hour in the fridge. The take out use the flour to form the mixture into balls. Shallow fry in a frying pan with a tablespoon of coconut oil until brown on each side.
